I know we all like to bash England but am I the only one who was a bit impressed with how Southgate set the team up and the way they played? I know it was a German second string playing at testimonial speed but still...

I watched. Great. goal but otherwise a bit like a mid table Chamionship clash. Not sure we should take that as an indication of anything.

That said, for once, I really hope that an England manager does well. Not too sure why. Maybe I am just bored of perpetual speculation and upending by the media.
