I'm flattered. Given that I was getting points last year without any structured training, hoping to beast some once I'm done with short power build.
You can have a go on my Neo if you want.

Do you need TrainingPeaks? Why not just use WKO?
-
• #2632
Convenance. And I'd still have to pay for WKO.
-
• #2633
Yeah, but it's a one-off.
Does your Garmin/Wahoo sync automatically to TP or something? I just dump the files on my PC and away..
-

Unsubscribed from TrainerRoad.
Might turn it on again next year when I'm not just doing sets of 20min @ 450W. -
• #2635
Yeah, via bluetooth on my phone or wifi. So it's super convenient.
Also my TP now syncs with my coach, so it saves me hassle.I pay £40 a year for TP, no issue with that. But just an issue with them trying to mug me for double that with an auto renewal I turned off!

What about Coach Chad? Who's going to teach you single leg quadrant drills during your Z1 TSS-fillers?
Also 450w 2 x 20 can >>>>>> Wiggins

I've been riding a lot more than in the past since the new year and have noticed my max hr (not actual max, but the highest I've ever achieved) seems to be creeping up.
What does this mean? I just wasn't trying hard enough last year? Or I'm opening up levels of fitness? -
• #2638
Don't forget Coach Chad's highly motivational text towards the end of an interval

Death is near.

yeh, some people are ok with it. i used to be but seem to have lost my ability to do it in the last year or so (or maybe i'm just going soft).

P2M on the way. Is WKO4 likely to benefit me as s novice, albeit one who wants to learn to get the most from training with power?
Or shall I use Trainingpeaks?
-
• #2642
Hang on - Golden Cheetah is free and offers Trainerroad-like workouts for free. I'll probably go with that then.
-
• #2643
The UI for the workout mode is shit though, but it can get the job done.
-
• #2644
Hmmm - does look basic. What do most people do? Run Training Peaks plus software like TR/Zwift?
That's going to be 30 USD a month.

Very much a novice here, but a snide copy of WKO4 is available for Mac and I use that. You can actually create workouts in trainingpeaks basic then move them to future dates in WKO4, bit of a faff but I'm poor. I only really use it for tracking CTL etc and power duration curves. I'm sure it does a lot more.
If you do want training peaks then there's a 40% off code from BC - 40BC2017

You can use golden cheetah to analyse and do most of the things trainingpeaks would do for you. And then TR or Zwift for your turbo workouts.

WKO, no TrainingPeaks
TrainerRoad for 2months, cancelled it
Zwift for a week but it didn't work with my video card, cancelled itOngoing cost - feck all

2 x 20, 4 x 8, pad, paper.

After using Training Peaks for a while, I've downloaded the trial version of WKO4 and I've no idea what I'm looking at

It's a steep learning curve, but check out the YouTube channel. It has great getting started videos.
That's basically the same! Good work man.
Who knows what the TR power numbers mean. I'm pushing about 70w more than my brother according to TR. We're within seconds of each other for TTs on the road and I have a smaller frontal area so yeah, it's all nonsense.
I'd love to do an actual FTP test with an actual powermeter or wattbike or something.
