  • Chaos here in Victoria.

  • Robinson had better be careful. Last Saturday he had half a police force to protect him.

  • I was on my way to pick up my niece from school when my sister got a text saying parents should come grab their kids asap because of the incident... Frantic parents everywhere, made me lol...

Lambeth Bridge closure is a right PITA TBH, was about to head over to London Bridge from Pimlico...

  • Any clear news of the driver being caught ? Fucking grim.

  • PA have this picture they say is of the suspect

  • This guy is a fucking wanker, and a useful idiot for terrorists, doing exactly what they want by spreading Islamophobia and instability in the wake of events like this. The way he filmed himself rushing to the scene to tweet shit like 'this is Islam' sums up the kind of person he is.

The less notice anyone takes of him the better.

Get in the river, it leads to the sea.

  • Three French students were injured, this was reported by the French media and confirmed by French diplomatic sources.

The police officer has died sadly. Tobias Ellwood (the Bournemouth MP, whose brother died in the Bali attack) gave CPR but seemingly to no avail.

  • This picture really hits home for me some how:

I hadn't even thought of the idea that paramedics would need helmets and body armour. Obviously they do for things like this, but it just shows what they're sadly prepared for.

  • My godfather's best friend is a paramedic. He told us of how his bosses had unofficially recommended buying slash proof baselayers and gloves to wear 24/7. I'm not surprised body armour's become standard issue.

  • RIP police officer, think there will be more from the car crash. Fucking shit. Hope there is no more today.

  • Confirmed.

  • From The Guardian five minutes ago:

"The journalists who were in the press gallery are now being held in Westminster Hall. Armed police seem to be search the Palace of Westminster room by room - quite an undertaking, because it’s a rabbit warren, with endless cellars, cubby holes etc - and I’ve just seen a team go into the room where the Westminster Hall chamber is, guns raised as if they were on the alert. We’re told that they believe there may still be one suspect on the loose."

My partner's on lockdown in the Cabinet Office down the road, I think everyone there is doing the same as I'm doing, just watching it on TV and trying to make out what's happening.

I was out at City Hall this morning with a group of students until about 2:15pm, now a couple of people at the college are getting worried, in case a) they had for some reason decided to go to Westminster afterwards and b) they'd managed to get there in time to be involved. I'm confident that they're fine but I'm imagining what it would be like to be a teacher of that French group.

  • made me lol...

I fail to see the comedy?

  • Just been confirmed that 4 have died including the alleged assailant.
    Dark times.

  • Ugh. RIP to the victims.

It's a shame the guy won't get to suffer in a cage for the rest of his life.

  • Frantic parents everywhere, made me lol...

    What?

  • I think the last British police officer killed in a terrorist incident was Yvonne Fletcher.

  • 'Suffer in a cage'

What...with Sky TV, phones, 3 meals a day, gym access and a bed every night. All paid for by me and you

The cunt deserved to die as quickly as possible

  • Really opens your eyes to how fragile life is at the moment and how shit the world in which we live in has become.

My heart sank when I heard the news, my son was on a school trip to Westminster last week and I can't even begin to imagine what family and loved ones of those there today are feeling

Thoughts with those to all concerned

  • Sticking my oar in...

...not even going to pretend I have anything useful to add to the discussion about what happened today.

  • You are Richard Littlejohn AICMFP.

  • What you think I'm exaggerating about the 'tough' prison life in UK's high security prisons?

Fuck me, I used to see drone's being flown over the wall dropping off bags of gear when I lived near Pentonville

  • It's difficult to be a martyr if you are alive, if that was his intention.

  • So stupid. Why a torn union jack? It was terrorists, not zulus.

  • One man confronted an officer and demanded to know why he couldn’t pass through the cordon and complained it was a free country.

“Not at the moment it isn’t,” the officer replied.

It seems the knife wasn't the only weapon on the scene.
