I've got the beginning of corrosion under my drivers side door striker plate- stainless steel and non-stainless not playing nicely together.
The fix for this is a rubber gasket, but first I need to get rid of the rot.
This is all fairly straightforward- but, right next to the striker plate is the VIN sticker.
Just get a new one you say- well.
From Porsche that sticker is £360.
For a sticker.
Is there a way of magically dissolving sticker adhesive in a way that doesn't harm the sticker, allowing re-use?
