No, not at all. I only have issues with mud, it can pack up and rub on the tyre. Up to now tyre always removed the excess to keep itself running freely, but I sometimes scrub the mud off because I can't live with occasional noise while riding.
Bike is used pretty much on a 3/1 ratio of road/path and never gave me problems.
