  • S&S landed, frame will be cut up and they will be installed this week. I am visiting Winston on Saturday with wheels and tyres so he can determine the best position for brake braze ons.

In other news; I installed new brake pads on the disc brake bike.

  • Were the old ones dead?

  • Yep, glad you gave me the fear

  • Keeping up the pretense that this bike is real eh?

  • Don't listen to them @amey

  • the best position for brake braze ons

    in the bin

  • tings have happened

    Frames been S&S'd

  • Brake tings..

    removable Paul pivot from paragon

Testing with brake and pads and 32mm tyre

    Same goes for the rear:

    Should be done this week.

  • Where are the flat mount braze ons?

  • oh yeah sora is here too .. its nice for the price

  • #earns£2500perweekbuysSora

  • Buyer status: Forfeited

  • I have some bikes with red22 and da9000 .. reinstated?

Its a steel bike, its getting what the material deserves.
Its just a groupset, easy to upgrade if needed in future :)

  • "Dear Radavist,

I enclose pictures of my custom S+S travel bike. It is a Graham Weigh with Paul Cantis, pump peg, and full Sora groupset.

I hope that you can find it in your heart to see past the contrary combination of braking and groupset, or indeed that instead of approaching a bespoke frame builder and spunking the best part of a full annual wage on a custom steel frame as is the custom on this website that I've instead had the couplers retrofitted to a relatively obscure mass produced frame, and feature this build on your blog.

It's nice for the price and has hugely entertained the LFGSS forum who didn't even believe that the build was serious or real until I got some pics of the Paul adapters being brazed on. I think that if you feature it your own readers will obtain a similar level of enjoyment from it, and the frenzy of questions related to the suspect logic involved in its conception will drive advertising revenue upon your site to new heights. In return I would be grateful for two small bidons and several frame stickers.

    Sincerely,

    Amey

  • If you've had new brake mounts brazed on the rear, did you consider swapping the rear bridge with one without a caliper hole, maybe just vertical mudguard mount? Or are you leaving it backwards compatible with regular calipers?

  • #rep

although that is Radvist these days which has given birth to #PostBuyer critics like bicyclepubes

  • I can't be arsed .. it already has that vertical thingy for mudguard.

  • if you were a true buyer this would be clad in Sram Golden Eagle, with bijoux integrated ti stem/bars and diamante encrusted stem cap.

  • so bourgeois tho

  • Seriously tho, I'm sure it will be very practical and nice to ride.

  • It is nice for not spending £176 on a 105 groupset?

  • 105 is £176 now? where?

  • Yes, where?

  • Nice 💃
