Yeh that's a really good idea. Sit in the office in your damp, steaming, under-washed, over-used, cheesy keks slowly drying around your sweaty, dessicating bullocks.

Temps much more agreeable so I ditched the full length gloves without regret for the first time this year. Also swapped my winter tights for the Rapha Randonee shorts I bought in the sale last summer that didn't fit me then...I'm a few kilos lighter so they do now. Result!
Was heading for a straight 10/10 until I had to watch some dickhead try to sail through a red light at the busiest pelican crossing on Upper street in Angel (it's so rammed at rush hour around there, the pollution is eye watering). Fuckwit had not realised there might be people about to cross. On the crossing.
Pedestrian nearly decapitated. 2 points deducted 8/10

Insane traffic this morning heading into central from camberwell. after getting over Westminster bridge, must have missed the memo, horseguards parade closed to traffic, some sort of event on?

Yeah, something going on, that stretch of embankment closed up to Parliament Square but nothing obvious happening...
Did some drafting on the Brompton, made sure to thank the guys I took a tow from, it's very much appreciated into that sodding headwind.

Got really caught up in this, Whitehall is shut for a memorial, the embankment is shut for access, traffic was piling up as far back as E&C.

After much complaining, the local roads service is finally sending parking wardens to enforce the local clearzone aka cycle lane... spotted two tickets on car windshields this morning.
VICTORY!!! Well, if they keep it up...

Good job. Keep complaining!

:)
It only took 2 years but hey... :):)
Waiting for an angry letter about parking fascists to the local paper... people don't see the problem as it's right in front of their house and there are no other parking spaces. But that's the council's problem. Not mine.

So recently I've had the chain come off three times in two weeks.
Had a look at the chain ring which should still be looking fresh after only 40,000 miles. What's the consensus opinion, put it back on or replace?

I'd send it back to fsa and demand replacement. Only 40,000 miles?!

Right hand side looks ok, put that back on but replace the rest of it.

thought i was doing well against a 18mph headwind this morning, until two guys in black working together cruised past me with a loud "morning" - tried to tag on the back for some "relief" ended up just pulling my left glute.
this being my only and every day commute route, i'm concerned these two might be new, and do it to me every day, and somehow that makes me feel less of man and want to give up cycling and buy a Porsche..... -

First commute to work from the new house this morning.
Exactly 10mins of stress free cycling.

Gloucester Place/Marleybone Rd lights are out. Much shouting, very swearing.
Otherwise, lovely.

Used gears today, was nice.

Fresh, but a sense of the seasons changing. Noisy mudguard the only sour note. 8/10.

Worst traffic I've seen for weeks, but sunny, but overdressed, but was a fun ride in places, but had to shout at two separate groups of kids blindly crossing in front of me.
6/10
Best way to dry damp clothes is to not take them off, get on with your work and man the fuck up #woodcraftways
