DT is WOKE.

Was it speculation or did I hear yesterday that Shakespeare had been confirmed for the rest of the season?
Cue joke headlines about whether it will be a comedy or a tragedy.

No CHESTerfield?

Speculation, but expected to be confirmed tomorrow when they get back from "warm weather training". Apparently it fulfils both aims of stability and a big name manager...

Let's hope so. It's way past time they took at least one place away from us

WOKE AS FUCK! (I have no idea who DT is, just love this phrase)

He's off the arsenal page. He is WOKE.

Unless Roma and Juve win their respective competitions, not going to happen for a couple of years yet.

I listened to two today. Because, bedwetters.

Am I the only one who loves this celebration (unlike the railing against the young people Souness and Redknapp, and the mass frothing of the twitterati) ?

Or have I just assimilated it, since it's a staple pre game/in game element in baseball and basketball

Clearly you've not read the guardian in the last 24 hours.

So based on that how can it be Cities/Liverpool's/Tottenham's to/too lose/loose?
-
• #134718
That's a very naive question, Mike...

Needs a 'feel the ferocious heat!'
Edit: I see a guardian commenter has already said that.

As TS sayss, a very naive question.
First, Liverpool have now lost. They are down to zero. It was there's to loose and they duly loosed it.
It is now Citeh's to loose. Hopefully they will loose it soon. That said, this very morning one of their players was quoted as saying that they had a very real chance of winning it. Now a grain of sand is as real as a mountain and so the player was correct.
Chelsea, on the other hand, are a crisis club. We were told this by reliable pundits just a few months ago. No one wins the league in the first season of managing in the PL (apart from Mourinho and Ancelotti).
If Citeh fail, it may be given to Chelsea by default, but it is still Citeh's to loose.
Added to which, no one wants a smug git saying "this is our season". "We are winning the shirt sponsorship/woodwork table" etc etc. Let's not count our chickens until they are well and truly stuffed.

We need 26 points out of 33 to win the league. That is a tough ask.

To guarantee winning the league. But you are right, it is a tough ask.

Also, isn't it 24 out of 33 to guarantee winning, which would be a bit easier.

One problem this year is that the chasing pack are all within a few points of each other. One or two of them having a bad patch of form is no good. We need them all to have bad patches at the same time, which is unlikely. Indeed, any one of them could go on a run of wins. At the same time, we only need to have a brief loss of form to be back in the mix.

And Pellegrini.
I like how Arsenal fans are slowly morphing into Liverpool fans.
I'd like to post a Barry Glendenning quote about fans marching to somewhere they want to go to.

"Bayern don't have that dissimilar a wage bill"
No. But they have a lot better overall structure and they're a fucking brilliant team. They just smashed Hamburg 8-0 didn't they?
