Having purchased a pair of £7 Lifeline Wiggle own brand tyres for a runaround bike for my wife I'm 99.9% convinced they are Maxxis re-badged; packaging identical down to use of a plastic hangtag with the tyre zip tied to it. Even the compound feels like a Re-fuse and they use an aramid bead.

Ok thanks, bought another one to keep faith in them. I patched the pinhole on the tyre and its held so will give it a 1000mile then check me thinks

1.75 panaracer paselas will be fine on a Mavic XC717 rim right?

Very good to know. I know somebody for whom these will be ideal.

Does anybody have a rolling resistance chart for tyres 700x30-35c?
I am wondering which tyres to get for a light bike packing cx bike packing Roubaix Paris trip.

GP4000s II do quite well in tests and the 28mm measure 31mm on most rims.

@umop3pisdn has actually already suggested those to me. I will consider these, but I am absolutely allergic to reflective sidewalls.

Peels off quite easily.

You have done it? Do you have a photo? I have done it before on Durano Plus 32c and that was not nice
EDIT: just realised they are 12gbp in 35mm. Absolutely no reason not to try them I guess.

I have done it a long time ago on Vittoria Randonneur (not the Hyper ones). I don't have pictures, but I remember it being OK. (I used a hairdryer to soften the adhesive before peeling the reflective band off.)

You probably already figured out this out, but yeah, 1.75s will work fine.

Strada Biancha Ptro now comes in 36c. I would love to try these out, but haven't been able to find them in stock in UK anywhere. Anybody seen them around?

Has anyone got experience with Continental Speed Kings 2 or Schwalbe G Ones? Looking to replace a pair of Big Apples on my 29er.

thoughts/experiences/conclusions on the best gumwall tyre for commuting purposes mainly, but general winter weekend use also. Likely 25's.

Currently running michelin endurance, and would be hoping for similar resistance to p....

+1 for paselas if longevity is key. Mine continue to amaze after well over 5000 miles and only a handful of pnctrs.

Ciclicorsa also has them, pricier, but I have found they are easier to deal with.

Easier than bike24? Why do you say that?
I've always found the service from bike24 to be faultless and I have more confidence in shipping from Germany than Italy.

this! bike24 never faulted me

Bike24 4lyfe
I've got about 1000 rough miles on some 32s and rear is showing slight wear, far better than the clement stradas I had on the same bike before which basically fell apart after ~500.
