• Why is the colour of the car important?

  • it also reads like they're describing the colour of the driver's skin. that may also be attribuatable to the fact that i am a massive racialist.

    shitty subbing either way.

  • I read it as car, then realised it could be read as skin colour. It's shitty writing at the end of the day.

  • the good news is these thickos are losing their licenses, tho it would appear they can retake it after a period of time. lets hope plod keeps it up.

  • Nobody ever drives without a license or during a driving ban... ever.

  • Insurers are claiming a CU80 conviction may bump premiums by 20% but that's unlikely, more like 10% or something. But, with the law rampantly ignored it makes you realise how insurers have had their customer's true risk concealed. So those drivers are asking a company to underwrite their risk, then the driver is voluntarily distracting themselves to the same degree as being over the limit and the insurer never finds out.

  • there is that.

  • How many drivers are there on the road with over 12 points on their license, something like 10,000

So much hardship in not having a driving license

  • It is the caption to a picture of.... a black BMW.

  • it's also the fifth paragraph on the page.

  • I'm sure someone on here posted a similar incident they had with a van driver at the exact same point. That's a really shit bit of cycle lane in that there Peckham.
For the record, I agree with some of the comments: bus driver obviously in the wrong, but if I was the cyclist I would have hung back as soon as I saw the bus encroaching on the bike lane.

  • Cyclist should have known better, even if they were not wrong. But in the words of my parents... it's no use being in the right if you're dead.

  • That's some pretty strict parenting.

  • Like you wouldn't believe

  • it's no use being in the right if you're dead.

    Gandhi?
    Malcolm X?
    Benazir Bhutto?

Though I admit their causes were higher than calling out careless bus drivers.

  • What's the odds Gandhi wasn't wearing a helmet?

  • and was cycling in sandals.

  • Though I admit their causes were higher than calling out careless bus drivers.

We're all a bit evangelical at times...

  • It's the car wot dunnit

  • The fuck websites still use flash player.

  • Wish I could report this prick. Cheltenham is in the grip of race week, and so race traffic. I was approaching from the left a Y-shaped junction with a mini-roundabout, giving way to the right. Nothing there immediately so I merge from the left onto a clear road. I look right as I pass the roundabout and there is a 4x4 coming. I think nothing of it, I'm on the junction the road is clear and then get passed closer and faster than I have ever been, I mean ever. He did the same to a cyclist 30 yards ahead, and although it's a narrow road there was nothing approaching so clearly purposely done. Gone so fast no chance to catch the reg or even the make/model beyond the colour.

Wish I had a go-pro, it reminded of a close pass on an A-road I saw by a flatbed where the driver lost his job. I mean he gave me inches. I was shaking with adrenaline and fury after. He would have been in trouble if I had the means to catch up to him.

Reckon he's been stuck in race traffic for ages and just floored it when he had the chance. Possibly drunk as well, the way he was driving. Fucking horrible.

  • A couple days ago I had a few of those on a road I regularly ride. One guy in his big car with window down decided to shout at me "what are you doing!?" etc, and lots of swearing, with his car inches from me. The next few cars behind, witnesses, passed with care and then all of a sudden a second similarly large bellend vehicle did the same thing.

The irony was that I'd been shoulder checking loads, and was acknowledging the cars that had been patient on the bends before overtaking me when he kicked off.

  • Sometimes it's just enough they are in front of you. There was no provocation from me, and the road was clear, he could have given us both more room but choose not to. Dickhead, still fuming
