  • You can play using Steam link even if it's not a Steam game.

It'll be slower on a normal HDD. Loading times for new areas or missions mostly, the actual gameplay probably no different.

  • Couldn't resist the hype around Switch and just preordered it.

Should get it (hopefully) in time before 18-hour flight to Cape Town with my bro (Joy Cons!!!).

Was hunting for the best deal and think 365games got the best one.

Regular £280 for console, Zelda £10 cheaper (£50) than GAME, plus protective hard case for £18.

The best bit is getting £18.65 worth of points for a future purchase which is not too bad.

    Can't wait.

  • Testing in home streaming with steam. Getting playable rates @1440 and high settings with mad max and dayz around 60fps. This is pretty impressive.

  • Found this awesome thing over the weekend. Thought it was long lost....

  • I've been idly staring at those on eBay. Waiting for a nice black one to come up.

  • They're still £££ on eBay.

All i need is a charger (on its way from Amazon) and i'm good to go. I have Zelda, Pokemon & Mario so plenty to keep me busy.

  • I've still got me original advance lying around, but non-backlit screen in this day and age can >>>

  • Ooh, my SP is sitting right in front of me... Quick game of Bubble Bobble is in order...

  • SP is the best, folds up nice and small...

  • Waiting for a nice black one to come up.

  • I've still got a GB pocket (blue, grey scale screen) for Pokémon Blue action and a GBA sp (no charger and probably no games)

  • Mario Kart was the best game on those, in fact I may have to dig mine out. Although I suspect tracking down the charger in amongst the hundreds that I have may be a challenge.

  • USB to GB Micro are available on Amazon Prime for £3.50.

I think i have mario kart but it will be on the list if i dont.

  • Cheers, I'll probably pick one of those up rather than searching my multitude of chargers.

I should really dig out the jailbroken PSPGo I picked up second hand as well. Anyone any suggestions for decent PSP games or emulators to run on there.

  • I had one of these. It only made the screen harder to see with glare.

  • I have this little gba sp kit with radio and car charger ftw. Need a car to go with it though

  • You can now pick up a PS4 slim with an extra controller and Nioh or Uncharted 4 for £230. That's crazy cheap.

  • the ace Sleeping Dogs available for cheapz on steam.

name another game where you have to sing a Flock of Seagulls tune to progress.

    geeland theeleft autoru!

  • Thanks - I've decided against a Steam Link because all the screens in my flat are hard wired with HDMI so I've realised there's no point.

GTA V plays surprisingly well on a HDD. Very occasional slow down moments when things are moving very quickly- not sure if that's it being on a hard drive though or my system hitting its limit (I've got a 3.4Ghz i5, 16Gb DDR3 and a 750ti). I've imported my online character (about a week before Rockstar switched off the feature), now I just need to replay story mode :)

  • Completely unrelated: I managed to order a NES Classic last night from Tesco.

Presuming they don't tell me they didn't actually have stock after all, is it worth the hype/keeping?

  • Can you still not get them reliably? I thought I'd wait till after Christmas, but forgot about it till now.

  • That's what I thought before Christmas but they're still like hen's teeth (unless you want to pay more than retail)!

Obviously I want another controller now but at £8 they're non-existent. Current Amazon price £36 :/

  • Picked up Witcher 3 again after about 4 months and quite enjoying it. Level 8, have killed my first boss and on a promise with a saucy sorceress. However, get the impression I'm going to have to start learning about using signs, alchemy, oils, skill trees, crafting, gwent etc etc to progress. They do make things so complex it's exhausting - what's so wrong about just wandering round a great big world whapping things with your sword?

  • I managed with minimal signs (shield, and the ones you need to use to interact with the world), only used an oil once. Gwent is for saddos. Did get someone to make new sweet armour tough.

  • Zelda: BoTW is getting 10/10 across the board.

    Roll on tomorrow. HYPED.
