What time of year did you ride there?
Pretty much the whole year that it is possible to ride the higher mountains. It's very arid, very hot- Alpine desert. I did sweat like Dov in a trainer shop but it didn't debilitate as it did the chap in your quote.

I'd tell them, but they'd have to come round to mine to collect it.
-
• #82179
Didn't think of that: good call!
As Wiggle have them for £880 at the moment, I an imagine them putting up a struggle though...

Arnica salve, deep heat or other? Is arnica a placebo?
-
• #82181
Hmm, I've kinda got a soft spot for Ribble, are they still family owned?
If it was PBK I'd definitely keep it.
Up to you I suppose...
-
• #82182
Yes. Arnica is useless.
Deep heat only works by irritation. What is the problem?
-
• #82183
Extremely tight lower calf. Been trying to stretch it out.
-
• #82184
Stretch in a hot shower
-
• #82185
Yeah, bend over in the shower.
That's it.
Just. Like. That.

1 inch threaded headsets, are they all the same size? Need to replace the one on my girlfriend's Look KG227 but I don't do threaded
-
• #82187
Stack height?
No.
-
• #82188
I can add or subtract spacers to make it fit?
I'll measure what's on there and try and find something similar. It's an old stronglight number currently -
• #82189
Stretching will work. Foam roller could.
Creams won't.Hot water bottle mightjt help.

I can add or subtract spacers to make it fit?
You can add spacers to make a lower stack height one fit, you can't subtract spacers if the new one has a higher stack than what you already have. For that, you'd need negative shims :)
There are two sizes of crown race too, you should have an ISO 26.4mm one, so beware of 27.0mm JIS headsets.
-
• #82191
Ah of course. There's probably 20mm of spacer on there now so one with a little more stack should be fine too.
This is exactly why I was asking. I knew there was something like this. Cheers
-
• #82192
The red one with flat bars? With those spacers you needn't worry about the stack of the replacement.
Stronglight A9 is a safe bet with a period vibe.
It so happens I have a Record HS going spare for only a couple of pounds more...

• #82193
I'm listening...
-
• #82194
Are they the ones in the recall?
I paid ~£800 4 years ago.
EDIT: and then went faster on my old SRAM S80 front wheel I got off ebay...

Has the guy at Evans sold me the wrong brake pads? The ones on the left are the original.

• #82196
Yeah, blatantly incompatible.
-
• #82197
Thanks.
-
• #82198
Yes, they're different.
-
• #82199
Yeh, thanks

They have codes on them. Which brakes do you have?
L02A or L04C are what I use - resin or metal, for Shimano's BR-RS805 Flat Mount road calipers
