'Slowly' dependent upon available energy, UK late Winter, it will never warm up, till the Summer.
Gentle heat, (probably not the heat guns recommended on here for paint removal), might speed up the process.
Alternatively if the fold has been trapped 'for years' it may never return to its desired shape.
Old winscreen rubber, I doubt it. The peaks are the rubber stretching.
