I've used an Elemnt for up to 12 hours (including stopping for lunch etc), using the navigation. That's about as long as a full charge will last.
I've not tried to charge it up on the move as yet.

Didn't @DarrenFranks switch to one just before TCR when his Garmin started playing up (aka: acting like a Garmin)?

Anyone got experience of using a Wahoo Elemnt for longer audax type rides? Particularly turn by turn navigation. My patience with Garmins has worn rather thin and I'm seriously tempted to try something else.
