I experience this all the time when I find something that I really need/want on some other forum where I don't frequent, and get that sort of response :) many forums won't even allow PMs or posts in classifieds before 10 posts and like a month on the forums, so lfgss is pretty liberal in that regard
Ask them about their bikes, maybe they have Flickr or pedal room account so you can see for yourself if they're enthusiast enough?..

Since advertising my bike here I've had several PM's from people that have only just signed up to the site, user65796 etc, it seems a bit sketchy. Anyone else experienced this?
