  • Thanks.
    Which is which?

Edit: New page, so all is good.

  • It won't cause any problems, I use it on my seatposts no matter what frame.

Perfect, that's what I wanted to hear. Seems like less torque on a seat clamp can't be a bad thing.

  • Has anyone had any luck contacting AirBnB? I got an email saying my email address had been changed to my account. I can't log in now. I tried calling the number from Google, but I just stay on hold each time for about 20 mins, then it drops out.

  • I once tweeted them with a complaint. It got escalated and they ended up sending us some champagne to say sorry!

  • I don't have Twitter, and I quit Facebook a couple years back. I do remember phoning them about two years ago when they fucked up one of my bookings, and they gave me a 100 USD voucher. That was a weekday though, so may have to wait until Monday. They really don't make it easy to contact them.

  • If you have card/bank details associated with that account I'd advise the bank that you've lost control of the account in question. I'd also check all other accounts which you used the same username and password for, check that your email is still set as the default account to send alerts to, and change the passwords.

  • Cheers, I just saw that link.. I just had my card replaced as I lost it last month, but I had not updated my AirBnB account with the new one yet. Will let the bank know anyway. I set up a new account so I could email them and let them know the story. The email they sent to let me know originally has the IP address and location (Oregon U.S).

  • My father is a clumsy man and just smashed a milk jug beloved by my mother, given to her by my grandfather when he was the accountant for a hotel supply company. It was made by Dunn and Bennett for the Mackworth Hotel chain in South Wales in the 1930's.

I found a cached image on Google for one from the same run, along with a tea pot, that sold on ebay.

From the link text I can see the the listing title was 'Mackworth hotel Swansea Neath teapot and milk jug' but the link is now dead.
    http://picclick.co.uk/Mackworth-hotel-Swansea-Neath-teapot-and-milk-jug-122109690831.html

I can't (at least on eBay mobile app, don't have access to a PC atm) find a completed listing for this. My aim was to ask the seller who they'd sold it to, if anyone, to try and persuade them to sell it to me.

There are a few other similar jugs on ebay but nothing the same. How can I find the completed listing details or (ideally) just another jug?

Would be more than happy to give a finders fee for this if anyone actually finds one, as it means a great deal to my dear mother.

  • Make contact with as many Welsh antique shops as you can find. There might be one on a shelf somewhere. The eBay stalking might be percieved as a bit weird.

  • I managed to get replacement elastomer for the 99 f1000 Cannondale fork.

Is there anything that can be done to preserve it? Slathering it in suspension fork grease?

(Yeah yeah it's a bad system but if it's that or a frame in the tip I go for fixing...)

  • Did Shimano ever produce a road groupset whose serial no. started with 8? (I.e. between DA 7700 and 9000.) If not, why not?

  • Dunno, you need a plastics expert I guess. You might be on to a winner with some slick honey. Apparently it's elastomer friendly.

Keep it out of ozone, oxygen and sunlight? :)

  • If not, why not?

You'd have to ask them. Possibly the jump from 7900 to 9000 was to avoid confusion with the XT 8000 MTB group.

  • TX I got Stendec.

I'll check if that is ok with elastomer if not will get some slick honey.

I may have breathed on it by accident that's it doomed now :p

  • Anyone got a recommendation on a free screen capture tool for Windows 10 that works with flash files?

I tried the Window Gamebar capture thing and it says there is no content to capture...

  • Camstudio has always done what I have wanted, you need to get the settings correct for the video type you want to end up with.

  • Thanks!
I'm sure it's just the site design but when i found that earlier, it looked dodgy as fuck.

It's installed fine but it did give it a go at installing a few browser extensions...

  • Remember what this was?

  • are woundup disc forks stupidly flexy?

  • They are probably not as bad as you've heard, but they are pretty flexy, especially under load off road.

  • cheers, I'll try a set out if I get the chance as they're quite dear.

After my canti fails this weekend I'm thinking about brazing disc tabs on my real CX bike when I get it back and then picking up a carbon fork up front and think woundups would really look good on it.

has anyone ever used one of these or similar and fancy giving some experiences? is it a real PITA?
