Yeah that sounds about right. Been looking at vintage stuff as well - technics 1300s go for reasonable amounts but I prefer the minimal stuff from Rega/Pro-Ject/Uturn.
Was looking at beograms until I found out they take some weirdo cartridge that costs all the money.
My Beogram was bust more than it was fixed. It was beautiful but didn't work reliable (lift and return)...
Project were physically slightly smaller and their PSU was pluggable (into the turntable) which for me made it. the idea choice (as I run my babies through a whole in a cabinet).
