  • You don't count. You'll annihilate the thing before anything starts falling off anyway!
Just keep an eye out on the nuts and bolts and tighten down the cranks and indicator before they decide to go walkies. New design for cable roller is a bit...iffy.

@Thrustvector There seems to be an issue of the new shifters getting stuck and fittings corroding at an accelerated rate. Seat masts seem to be particularly succeptible to this despite finish. Check your headset too as it's under tightened. Spoke tension could do with a bit of a hike too.

  • I can vouch for all of these things, latest Brommie bought in August. Have to metal polish the seatpost every few weeks now. Hub nuts all corroded, as was the indicator chain. I guessed that was the issue with the stuck shifting as I cleaned it all up and covered it in WD40, which eradicated the shifting issue.

  • That sucks. Doesn't sound like teething issues at the new factory sounds like they're cutting corners and using cheap tat.

Sound like your seatpost shim need to be reemed, for some reason a lots of Brompton come unreemed from the factory.

  • If you only bought in August, I don't think you'll have the new gear shifters. And yeah not going to be teething issues, the've been there for over a year now and just moved stock and staff from the old factory.
