Ugh, FFS. I suppose that's hardly surprising though, considering that if you want to develop anything that uses the Garmin Connect API they will charge you $5000 just to have a go.
They should be paying developers, not the other way around! At least make the API open like all the successful software companies do.
Connect IQ is free, isn't it? If they don't open their website API it will simply die and everyone will be on Strava and that's that so it's their own fault.
Maybe so, but isn't that just for adding little weather widgets and such like? Looks like a nice idea but it's kind of fluff, no?
I'm more talking about letting users just pipe their data to/from whichever service they feel like. Seems like Garmin just isn't on board with that sort of stuff.
