1 x Garmin eTrex 10, 20 & 30 Holder (RAM-HOL-GA48)
1 x Rail Ez-On Swivel Mount (RAP-274-1)Doesn't look sold: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/291667/#comment13170432

Thanks, but I'm in Finland and not sure there's point in shipping it here as I found a local shop that has those. If I decide to buy one.

Cannot wait to dance on garmin's grave.

Such a shame, I find Garmin for running pretty good. I wish they could get their act together for bikes.

I only have gripe against one thing; LET GO OF SOFTWARE you cunts! They make great hardware and poor software.
-
• #4085
That would go in the face of the rest of the device industry.

Mike Hall won the TABR with a 705.
-
• #4087
Except their hardware isn't that great either. Case in point: Sony Xperia phone more waterproof than Garmin 1000.
-
• #4088
TABR is a fixed route and much less likely to require on-the-fly re-routing.
He was also familiar with the device and its quirks which is worth a lot. -

Garmin wearable stuff is pretty good though.
And nobody is buying 'smart watches'. Google isn't even making their own, non?
-
• #4090
Only Apple clowns bought smart watches, no?
-
• #4091
Yeah, probably. FWIW I didn't buy one - prefer to wear watches that a nice, or watches that are functional, not some weird bastard hybrid thing.
-
• #4092
Yeah, I'm usually no watch guy but I have a collection of watches I wear when I'm not on the bike. The last thing I need is my wrist and my phone buzzing every time someone posts a cat video...

+1 on the wearables - I've got a Garmin Vivosmart GPS watch with the HR monitor, it cost me
less than £100 (the last one in the shop in Currys had been opened so I got a decent discount off the already low Jan sale price) and I'm very impressed with the hardware. It's great for tracking running and cycling, my only gripe is it takes a while to get a GPS lock sometimes. Also the health tracking stuff is sort of interesting (until you get bored of it)

I like the health shit, but only when I do stuff that blows Garmin's mind

Do you work in the Shard by any chance?
The stairs count on mine is surprisingly accurate...

Do you work in the Shard by any chance?
Nah that's the walk up and out of the Grand Canyon to the Rim from the Colorado river :)

Excellent :)

I want a bike specific computer though, with navigation.
Edge 820 seems to have a pretty bad reputation: http://inrng.com/2017/02/garmin-820-edge-review/
Edge 520? Stingy map storage seems a bit crap. Is it ok in practise though?
Any decent older models to look out for? Mainly I just want something reliable.

Wahoo elemnt
Guessing that's the case. Seems weird that Garmin wouldn't either alert you to that fact, automatically delete old rides when it knew there was an update available, or retain a portion of storage space specifically for upgrades. Ah well, sorted now anyway.
