  • ok will do it #jusride! ;-)

good luck on yours - i'm hoping my padded shorts are dry, nothing worse (or nicer?) than a damp pad on your nad!

  • made it , soaked lower half from road spray and cars, to half was ok just drizzle - showered , fed , fire, and home made rice pudding dessert and feeling pleased i didnt faf out and get the train.

  • Glad to hear

  • It was very close, if I hadn't reacted as well and turned with it I'd have been down for sure.

  • I saw a man with a dog shout at a cyclist in Regents Park.

    10/10

  • Collision between motorbike and 3.5 ton van at top of liverpool st - didnt look good

    and it was cold

    7/10

  • Rode passed this, still there at 10:30. Hope the guy is ok, looked real bad.

Also my tyre exploded on the okr, not the one.

  • Busenger today as I'm out later. Got the x68 which is usually pretty good but traffic was almost a standstill from Upper to West Norwood. When we got to WN station, the driver said it would take an hour just to get to Tulse Hill (about half a mile away). So got out and walked to Tulse Hill station only to see the cause of the hold up. Road works on a burst water main. Large area coned off with temporary traffic lights. Were there any contractors there trying to fix it? Were there buggery!

  • That's been going on for a few days. Makes for satisfying filtering!

  • Saw three different cars slowly run reds within about a mile last night. Don't understand what they were confused about. Got 'em on camera but not sure I got regs (disappointed that the GoPro Session didn't pick them up, but it was dark...

  • Mildly amusing one this morning. Tiny policeman walking in the cycle lane that goes alongside the Mall trying to look hard. Cyclist rings bell at him (not me - a muggle on some kind of shopping bike) to get out of the way. He starts shaking his tiny fists and telling her to piss of, by which time she is many metres down the road and I'm almost falling off laughing the whole situation.

  • Has that not been repaired? I know leigham vale is closed.

  • Smacked an Uber drivers' mirror in this morning (felt super-macho), as he nearly ran over my girlfriend cycling in front of me whilst he was obliviously driving around looking for his pick-up.

  • retiring my Leyzene strip drive pro rear light- its given me a year, this winter i think has shown its design flaw a little - its USB charged with a big rubber end (oo err) you pull off to expose the usb connector - problem is , this has allowed in grit and water, and repeated cleaning of the connector has meant its a bit dodgypodgy on charging - other than that the light it puts out is fantastic - about 3 hours on mega-see-me-flash , down from the original 4.5 ish i used to get last year.

ive got a magicshine rear (that i used to have a few years back before i dropped it) to connect in with my magicshine front & battery - these rear are well visible by day and last forever on the battery pack!

  • I've an Exposure Diabolo with a red eye rear helmet (that sounds fucking creepy) mounted. Used it almost daily for roads (day or night...it's on). Used it offroad too. It's been hurled down the tarmac several times. Sometimes with me attached to it. It's been in puddles, mud and shrubbery way too often. It's been repaired twice by Exposure foc although well out of warranty. I've owned it for many years so long I can't remember. And it's still totally fine. And bright as fuck!

  • @Clockwise so the police are just treating that as a 'near miss', yeah? Really good you turned so responsively. Shame you were in the position of having to do any of this.

Those big one-way roads makes drivers do crazy shit and expect everyone else to just lump it.

  • This morning, 2 cars and skip lorry in lane next to me rlj-ed the lights westbound on Euston Rd at Park Crescent. Cabbie stops: 'I thought your lot were supposed to do that!'. Oh how we laughed...

    csb, etc.

  • The water mains in Brixton and surrounds are going mental. Tons of leaks sprang up around the same time the mains burst on Ferndale Road (which isn't fully fixed).

  • heyyy, got hit by a car today, cut long story short, me over bonnet, her fault with dangerous driving. Im alright, bike small paint chip (didn't notice till got home). Should I take this further? Got her number plate and CCTV was pointing directly at the spot, got the number to call. I feel a few points on her license is justified. Advice please.

  • Should have called police and ambulance at the time of the incident.

  • Are you saying the driver didn't stop and exchange details with you? Then yes. If it was all amicable and you got a decent apology/£100 for your 'understanding' and no harm was done, then move on. Police unlikely to be helpful.

  • driver stopped, exchanged words.....forgot to demand my £100 settlement. To be fair I think its karma....let this one slip.

  • No, I've got that guy from the telly box in camden(it was in camden) doing it, unsure what exactly they are going to go with but the list of options seems to be pages long, some bits about road positions have totally fucked them for common excuses used in court too.

  • @Clockwise soz last comment was @ user (number here) not you.

I'd like to see your driver visited by the police for that.

  • Definitely report it. For the very least for the stats. Then speak to a lawyer for advice. And have your frame properly checked for buckling. Mine was written off after a similar bump. Nothing visible. But the top tube had the slightest bend. And thats a new bike.
