hmm ild guess another 2mm, but not ideal. actually have a tester #slamdatstem cover but that doesnt win much (i tried) because of the fatness of the bearing preload thingy on top of the top bearing. could possibly grind that down to win some extra mm but then all this is getting real bodgy..

i have a 7mm gap between the top of my steerer and the stem. is this safe? i know consensus is to actually have a bit more steerer popping up above the stem but more slammage cannot be achieved with the current setup.
could win 4mm with a lower stack headset (from fsa orbit equipe 28mm to cheapo con-tec 25,7mm) and lower stem (syntace, 38mm instead of the current kalloy 40) and win a couple of extra by facing a couple of mm of off the headtube.
or am i clutching at straws here?
