If you're referring to the type that's actually a rip off of the Bontrager XXX post, I've one on my S-Werx. Seems nice and sturdy, but the adjustment mechanism on mine is cack. Only holds with copious amounts of grip paste and is very difficult to reposition once you tighten the hell out of it. But as with all these things, I might have a duff one.
Equally, you might get one that breaks and impales you, but mine's held me up despite being over 100kg a while back

Anyone tried one of the aliexpress fake enve (I think?) single bolt seatposts?
I've ordered one but am now fearing carbon shards in the gooch.
