Here's the thing, with those tyres, it become quite obvious how much they do squirm at very low speed when at an idea pressure.
However, once you get up to speed (by that I mean 10-15mph), it start to float nicely and still easy to ride.
It's just the very low speed cornering where the massive tyres become fairly obvious.

The front still isn't sealed so it was very noticeable at the lower pressure I rode in on this morning, gone as soon as I pumped up to 40 psi.
They roll a shit ton faster than the panaracers

Dunno man. I'm having second thoughts about mine. Even at speed, they feel a bit..disjointed from the ground if that makes any sense?
On the other hand, G-Ones are awesome, if a bit too big. I think 46/7 mm is as big as I'd go for a slick-ish tyre. -

to be fair I had not ridden with the Horizon, only the Compass 48mm which have seen it's share of commuting in London, abet at 40psi instead of 25psi (for regular riding).

g-ones are incredible...

That's frickin good man!
Have any bigger photos?

Sooo stupidly good. It's shocking how well they roll and handle rough terrain as well. May have to jump back up to 700 just so I can get another set to fuck around with. Setting them up tubeless wasn't fun though. Have you got them on the 3t?
@edscoble I know it would probably ruin the feel of the tyre, but if compass did tubeless (and were a bit cheaper) I'd be all over them. I've bought a set of gravel kings to experiment with.

Yeah- on two of the 3 wheelsets- but will remain on one wheelset permanently- the other is going back to vittoria corsa 28s which are amazing too.
They are utterly mind-blowing. -

g-ones are incredible...
I thought the 40mm one would be slow, but it's surprisingly effective on the tarmac.

Yeah, reckon I might set them up on some tubeless carbon then weep in joy in the middle of the woods.
Glad you didn't get rid of the 3T. -

So am I. Its just so smile-inducing. Even on a commute.

That's nice. Similar to the Velo Orange Piolet.

I want to try 650b wheels with g-one tyres. What measurements do I need to check to ensure commuto x bike can take them? What rims should I go for?
-
• #1069
callipers and measure 19mm away from rim towards hub at fork blades, chainstays, seatstays.
rims anything MTB, wide and cheap e.g: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/wtb-st-i-23-mtb-rim/rp-prod128446

Anyone got a review of these? LBS got them in recently, I'm seriously considering building a 650b wheelset to use them on my Orlo

That looks super rad! I like how the silver Rival cranks fit into it.

There are a bunch of reviews online. I remember stumbling across a few 650B reviews when I was considering the 700c version.

Cazaderos are fast for the size/tread pattern. Nice tyres.

I really hated how this looked when I first fitted the 650Bs, I'm not used to such massive clearances. But it's actually growing on me now.
Bike rides much better than I had ever imagined, the previous tyres were 700x45(I have the space) but the outer diameter was huge and it felt like I was riding a barge.
thanks bbz, you about tonight to make some flaps?
