  • Nope! And perhaps. I'd certainly like to find out.

  • The new ones, obvs :)

  • @hovis you could try organising a visit to Canyon UK, their office is on a retail park in Chessington. I had an issue with my Acros headset; I didn't even have proof of purchase, but after conversation with someone on their online chat system, they sent me a free one in the post, and when that didn't turn up, I just organised to go down there and collect it and they were more than helpful. The initial free one eventually turned up too, I have hence found them nothing but helpful.

Speaking to actual people face to face means they often don't have the chance to take the "computer says no" approach. Just a thought and maybe worth a try!

  • Yeah I wanted to, but their work hours are my work hours so not possible, unless I take a day off.

  • Anyone experienced carbon corrosion around the front braze-ons?

  • However, a month after that I went to try the "rake adjust" for the front fork. Flipped the insert over and found it doesn't fit properly. See photo below.

Did you try switching the side you put the metal dropout things on? So the one that was on the left to begin with is on the right after flipping the dropout. I had the same problem as you and that was my soloution :)

  • I think I tried that, but the little tabs that stick out, (a safety feature I think?) would then be pointing inwards rather than outwards.

  • I thought a lot of people file those tabs off anyway. racers at least

  • I don't see why anybody at all other than those racing would.

  • If you take the one from one side when its on the default setting and turn it around and put it on the other side it should be pointing out shouldnt it? I made a shitty ms paint drawing of what I did, hopefully it makes sense.

Also, the bike feels a lot better after shifting it imo

  • Ha. Ace sketch! I find this kind of thing hard to visualize, I'll have another play with it tonight. But I think that's what I have been doing all along.

Did you shift it from agile to stable or the other way round?

  • I think it's on agile now, as it should be on stable when delivered. It really just makes the bike a bit more responsive, which feels better.

  • This is nice but can it take mudguards?

  • It wont, no eyelets for mudguards. The Inflite will, it has eyelets inside the forks and seatstays and the clearance.

  • That's not carbon corrosion, that's wrenching on your braise-on mount too hard and pulling out the lower Rivnut.

  • is there any way to put guards on that? Asking for a friend.

  • There are no mounts on the frame, only thing you could use would be race blade / crud catcher.

  • Some lovely Katusha ex team bikes just appeared on the Canyon website.

  • I bought an ex-Garmin team bike a few years ago, jesus those bikes take a hammering.

  • The AL disc looks decent, but 4 month wait for delivery?

  • Pretty cool, and some custom nation champion bikes in there too...
Also cool to see how much wear the frames can take while still being able to function perfectly

  • anyone know what headset I need to buy for my Canyon Ultimate CF SLX (2016)? thanks

  • Sub 5kg Ultimate released

  • They are acros 1 1/4, Canyon's material numbers are 103605 (upper) and 103606 (lower). I dont know Acros' material number I'm afraid.
