Too narrow + fragile

ah so you are after a winter tyre ?
-

Fact: Compass tyres are overrated in 700c .. great in SoCal weather and hipster rim sizes but for 700c they can fuck off.
Voyager Hyper are great!

I blame you, I was gonna get Sawtooth at £30 each ..
Gonna write angry email to Jan.

Too 'supple' for British grit and flint?
-
• #4085
No punctures (although @umop3pisdn had some) just next to no grip in wet .. I thought that was down to tread but Gravel King slick has same tread and they are grippy .. maybe its the compound. I think Jan treats all his customers as beta testers.

Flint fucks them.
I think the compound is too hard.

Flints destroyed my corsa g+. They have amazing grip in the wet but also seem to cut up very easily after it rains around here.

Similar struggles with compass. 1 ride, 2 punctures (at opposite ends of the ride). Winter though.
Want the hypers but reflective strips are the worst.

Not at the right depth of field ..

They're pretty easy to remove on the Hypers if that helps.

Limited to a 23mm rear on my winter/commuter bike. Previously used Schwalbe One's and been very happy with grip and durability.
Before I automatically go and buy another Schwalbe One, anything else I should consider ? Tempted to try out the new Vittoria Rubino G+ Control or Endurance, but previous experience with the old Rubino (no grip in wet, cuts up easily on glass) puts me off.

Never used 'ones' but for me they're too £££ for winter/commuter, as above I still swear by wiggles lifeline road armour - cheap, grippy, durable. If going schwalbe I'd be looking at Duranos for commuter duties.

Rubber cuts more easily when wet. Evidence that even God hates cyclists.
-
• #4095
Schwalbe One aren't that expensive, about £25 in most places

Anyone tried the Vittoria Rubino Pro Speed G+Isotech ?
190g for a 25mm with what looks to be quite decent puncture protection?
-
• #4097
Fudge knows why Vittoria continue to put 'tread' on the sides of it's Rubino tyres, which probably reduces grip when cornering if anything.

long shot I know but anyone got a spare 25c open pave with some life left in it going? my rear has squared off quite a bit and has a cut in the sidewall. want to buy a set of G+ but would be a shame not to get the full life out of the front one which is barely worn

Green or black?

I emailed them about that a couple of months ago. Never got a reply, so bought some Dugasts instead.
GP4k's come in 28c flavour too!
