  • Called some ninja roady who breezed through a red light at Copenhagen and Caledonian Rd heading North this evening.
Normally wouldn't bother but he had the temerity to ding his bell at a mum and two kids legitimately using the ped crossing.
He came up with a bunch of reasons I shouldn't have mentioned it, as we rolled up Cally rd. His behaviour was much improved though.

sorry, but had a LOL at I’m so frustrated because if it had been a car that hit me I think they would have tried a lot harder to find out who the driver was Yeah, you'd think wouldn't you!

  • Light on details, that story. Nobody actually saw it. In Covent Garden someone gobbed on a security guard and someone else fell over, is all you can safely conclude.

  • It was awesome right up until the undertake and almost-crash

  • The bit where his mate undertook too was pretty gripping.

  • £5 says that the story is sponsored by the LTDA

  • Saw this first thing this morning... fucking shocking scar on his boat! I got taken out by a car a week ago and not holding my breath about anything being done about it

  • Love how the police seem to imply the only illegal thing done was cycling in the square, the hit and run they just gloss over.

  • Finally saw a guy get pulled over for going through a red light over the xmas break. Blatantly couldn't be arsed to stop but didn't see the old bill car over the other side of the road... oh how I laughed!

  • Some knob pretending to be a fixie skidder on his brand new cinelli pista this morning Barnes to Westminster. Supertight denim shorts suggested he was legit, freewheel and brakes suggested not.
Undertaking, tight over takes, nearly took me out from behind after I slowed for an ever decreasing gap. Generally knarking other cyclists and motorists off. Sort it out! I either want daring whipskids through gaps and bus stroking or ride nice.

  • haha, so either ride impressive or nice ?

  • Calling out myself for having absolutely zero zen this evening.

Screamed my head off at a driver and said lots of nasty things after a near miss. It encouraged an incredibly reckless punishment manoeuvre by said-driver further down the road which could have been avoided had I been less shouty.
    Could have handled it better.

  • if a driver resorts to attempted murder because someone hurt their fee fees, they probably shouldn't be driving a car. don't be so hard on yourself.

  • Calling meself out. I unintentionally held an ambulance up earlier, thought it was carrying on through a junction but it had turned in a bit behind me then caught up. Suddenly realised they'd given up on the siren, was just blues reflecting ahead made me realise. Oops.

  • Agreed, not your fault if a driver makes a dick move and you have something to say about it... I shout at other people all the time on the roads, and most of them are cyclists... case and point, saw a guy go through four straight reds down Bayswater Road on Sunday. I see this kind of shit every day of the week and it boils my piss

  • I also did this on Old Kent Road last night, so maybe this was both of us at the same time!

If so - the ambulance was driving in a confusing manner (to me at least!). My lack of maneuvering not helped by two overflowing panniers of "Big Shop" from Aldi.

  • Last night going along Malet St, some toolbag on a hire bike really laboriously overtook me and cut in front of me, then immediately cut through a group of pedestrians crossing the road, making them scatter. I guess I should be glad that he didn't brake for the pedestrians, cos he'd put himself about a foot in front of my wheel. If he'd rung his bell they would have stayed on the pavement.

  • I watched some bloke sprint down Green Lanes towards a red light this morning and then skid to a desperate halt to avoid the cars that were coming out of the junction. Just about missed getting wiped out. No idea what he was doing, the light had been red for a while and cars had been coming out of the side road.

Also some courier trying to turn left through a load of people as he'd signalled by doing that pointless thing of signalling by pointing at the ground about an inch from his body so obviously no-one noticed it.

  • doing that pointless thing of signalling by pointing at the ground about an inch from his body

    Looks so cool though.

  • That's how Dutch blokes indicate in Amsterdam.

  • If you stick your arm out to indicate in Amsterdam you'll end up decapitating an oncoming cyclist.

I nearly kill doing this on a daily basis on the East-West Boris lane when trying to turn off right at Temple.

  • My favourite is people pointing while opening and closing of the fist. Like the human version of a blinking indicator.

  • Slinger/signaller?

    [trade joke]

  • Haha I do this, also gunfinger pointing in and out... The 2 second wave at the floor either 20 seconds before the turn or midway through it doesn't really cut the mustard

  • (Kinsland Rd) saw a guy shout at motorist for indicatoring left and just turning in front of him, what was strange was the cyclist was running a red light at the time....thoughts of Kettles I figured
