  • Centrelock everywhere, and flat mount for the brakes.

Thought about direct mount for the derraileur hanger too... but on that I would be jumping the gun, and besides Ti is strong enough.

  • Are they better than the new shimano ones featured in Amey's link doe?

  • Difference is probably minimal but those ones are fucking hideous

  • Jesus h christ! What have they done. I know discs aint pretty, but that's going too far.

  • They've filled the gaps with a few grams of excess metal and vented it... effectively, they've turned it into a heatsink.

I think this is their solution to fast descents down mountains without having vented or floating discs... and to be fair, if they're able to keep them cooler they will have achieved less heat deformation and have more reliable brakes.

    But yeah, they're ugly.

  • Of course... if they wanted to go crazy they'd give pros carbon discs ;)

  • Maybe they're more aero :)

  • Ha! Bring on the carbon ceramic discs! Props on the pink but are you not tempted to leave just a little of the bare Ti on display? Seatstays and or chainstays?

  • Naked bikes are boring. I want the materials for their ride quality and properties, not for the fashion.

And then... after I've ranted about function over form, I'll hand a Pantone colour and a set of detailed instructions for an extruded head badge to Seven ;)

  • 16 pages in and I just now see the first post...

    "Campagnolo Super Record groupset"

    Dead To Me.

  • Double Dead To Me.

  • I have since tested a Di2 bike and opted for Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 with hydraulic disc brakes.

  • That's what I use and hippy is always right.

  • Form is function

  • Pink/ti goodness

  • Interesting set up. Tiny frame, inline post, yet much spacer stack. It's like they copied a surly geo chart or something

  • Set up is pretty bad, apparently it's for a "Chinese superstar"

    Frame is lovely though

  • I prefer the Beoplay A9

TBF, it doesn't look like it have been ridden yet.

  • ^^^^That bike looks truly awful.

  • Why not just go for larger discs? I know it's uncouth, but 203mm rotors on downhill bikes rarely get warped.
Still don't get the obsession on road bikes and 140mm rotors.

Aero I can't understand, but that rather than heat dissipation I don't!

Two thing, weight, and the flat mount designed for 140mm without adaptor.

  • The latter doesn't really hold much ground tbh. 160 all around and happier braking. How much more does a 160 rotor weigh anyway

  • To a roadie, it make a difference.

With flat mount, it just look smarter with the calipers slammed against the fork as oppose to it's sticking out like a sore thumb with an adaptor.

    (personally agree with 160mm front).
