Can thoroughly recommend WERIDE.pt for guided mountain biking in Sintra. My guide for the day, Duarte Medeiros (enduro/downhill racer and all-round nice guy) set a good pace on the climbs and descents, picked some fantastic trails that tested my abilities just-so and was generally awesome fun. The hire bike, a Transition Patrol, was super-duper once we'd got it set up right, though the flat pedals provided weren't amazing and as I hadn't elected to bring SPD shoes I just had to lump it- I'd say bring your own if that's your thing. And the scenery is just unreal.
