Freezing cold weekend, I spent far too much of it staring at 853 road and audax frames on the Rourke website and elsewhere. Getting myself a bit too worked up I stepped away from the computer and did some work on the fucking 853 audax bike sat in the other bloody room.
Now with 28c tyres and I reckon 32s will clear too so may try those out soon. Already noticeably nicer over cobbles.
Big fat proper light on the front, an Ixon IQ Premium. Seems alright. Pedestrians certainly react very differently to you at night which is a good thing.
Shimano A600 pedals (And RT82 shoes).
Specialized saddle copy that I'm still trying to find an adequate fit for both riding with padded shorts and while commuting - so far comfy for one but not the other.
So still a little work on fit, final saddle position and then the reach. Already dropped the stem one spacer as I've had the bike set up very conservatively until now but may be a few other minor tweaks, probably slightly lower still.
Stupidly put the nuts & bolts for the mudguards somewhere-i-don't-know-where so they'll have to wait a bit longer (only been two years so far I've had them sat around).
Wife still has no words for how ugly the bike is, just this weird face she pulls.
