A much more painful incident occurred at the Baggies v Sunderland game.
Sunderlands Jason Denayer received a vicious ball to the nether regions from a point blank hoof from Claudio Yacob just before 80 mins. Immediately in agony, the trainer was rushed on. He didn't seem massively keen to 'rub it better' so proceeded 6 minutes of stoppage time whilst he crawled towards the far touchline. A slow and agonising hobble around the pitch ensued to the tune of "where have they gone? where've ya balls gone?".
Football really has a way to go dealing with testicle injuries.
Football really has a way to go dealing with head injuries compared to sports like rugby. There were a few clashes of heads over the weekend where the players seemed dazed for a while but then still carried on with fairly minimal assessment.
