UST I guess so no - you don't need any tape.
Unless...you have lose fitting tyres and you need to build up the rim bed.

Is UST a type of tubeless rim? As far as I know these rims are not tubeless ready despite the sealed rim. Thanks for your help!

Looks to be two different sets of Ksyrium Pro Disc, with the "Allroad" version having a UST rim.

There's no mention of UST and the reviews say they aren't tubeless ready but the rim is sealed hence my confusion...

I'm definitely going to give it a go. I think I'll just treat them like my open pros and stick some tape in to build up the rim bed as you suggested. What could possibly go wrong.

my new wheels have arrived - tubeless ready kinlin xr22t - looking nice.
i notice that the rim tape one one of them has a small hole in it - does this need to be fixed or is the actual rim airtight?

Depends on how big the "small hole" is. If the hole is located above a spoke hole deffo repair it. The sealant will still seal it at some point but you don't want white goo leaking out of your nipples, do you?
If it's only got one layer of tape per rim them you might as well build the rim bed up and chuck another layer on; repair job done, easier set up achieved.
Give yourself a pat on the back and then have a whisky.

I love the XR22Ts and the XR31Ts. I really hope disc specific versions come out, want some all-stealthy non-machined sidewall versions.

That's common with manufacturers who are dedicated to the OEM channel, web presence is not a high priority because people buying 1000s of something will have a meeting to go over every detail of how a sample product will be customised to their particular needs. As long as the web site shows what capabilities the manufacturer has, B2B customers don't need to see every detail of everything they've ever made.

No more than Latex inners or tubs.
The more you ride them the better they get at keeping air in em', curiously.

Definetly less inflation required than latex tubes. I've had mountain bike tyres that have only dropped a few psi in weeks.

Both my 27.5 wtb i25's have a small air leak on the rim joint (not though the join just exactly in line with where the tyres meet it) . I've let the tyres down to 10psi or so and push them in at that point to try and let some sealant out. Any other suggestions? Or anyone else had this problem
Hi all.
Can anyone advise on Mavic Kysrium Disc Pro tubeless please. The rim bed is sealed. Does that mean I don't need stans tape? Any advice?
