Nice :)
I had another mail telling me I've got 48 hours to update my address. No shipping yet. I dropped them a message on Kickstarter to see what was going on, but no reply.

A bike swap now means mine is a size too large for seat post bolt :(
Unless you can replace said bolt with one for a larger diameter hex key?

Mine arrived over Christmas. Pleased for the most part. Slightly let down that the key isn't long enough to put the hexlox bolt into the rear mech bolt, it's a key component that I'd like to protect! Might be able to get it in by removing the key from the keyring and using some needle nose pliers to get it in, but how I'd get it out when I'm out riding, should the rare need arise, is the issue.

You commuting with an expensive rear mech?

Mine arrived too. Not fitted but they seem solid. Now I need to make sure all my bolts are the right material.

placed my order 3 months ago, had a spat them over instagram which i didn't mind but was unprofessional on their side. they said i never completed a survey which I definitely did. i got an email confirming my order too and they never sent me any further communication saying they were pending further info from me. completed another survey anyway telling them which bolts i needed again and they promised they would ship immediately which was a month ago, heard nothing back since.

It's not common, but you can definitely get bolts with non standard key sizes. I've got a couple on my car that are the same thread and head size but have different Allen key sizes. Might be worth checking between the ISO and JIS versions because I know an ISO and JIS M8 bolt use different spanner sizes.
eBay will deliver here. Always eBay for anything obscure!

Ultegra. Not primo but worth nicking if I leave it somewhere for long enough, hence buying the locks so I could booze in peace

Cheers, will take a look. I know it will fit the seatpost clamp I have on one of my bikes as that has a bigger bolt. Just a case of working out what search terms to use!

Yay.. mines shipped.

I received mine today. Took approximately seven months (!) but they seem pretty good. I had a couple of non-magnetic bolts: had to change the seatclamp bolt and will need to sort something out for rear wheel. Main things is my saddle is now secure.

Mine don't work on my stem bolts. Do I try and get the sticky inserts or will it be easier/quicker to get some replacement bolts?
-
• #69
I couldn't work out if it's possible to order more bolts, I might be wrong (hope so) but didn't it say that the key is specific to the bolt?
-
• #70
If you already have a key, you input your unique number in the 'notes' at some stage of the ordering process. I've just ordered a new (spare) key and bolt.

Nice, thanks!

I'm struggling to find mild-steel bolts to replace the ones in my stem, and fuck paying €15 for a stick on magnetic insert from Hexlox (says the guy who just spent €100 on a few bolts)..
Wondering if superglueing some of these into the bolts would work? Worth a punt?
-
• #73
Answer is no. Once glued in even the 0.5mm thick magnets make the hexlox sit just proud enough to get tweezers on to. Not worth it IMO. Will keep looking for some mild steel bolts

Any black steel bolt will be magnetic. It's only some stainless ones which aren't.
