I do not know the definative answer but I guess it is like saying can I get FM on an AM only radio by using an adaptor, The answer being very unlikely and if possible probably cheaper to buy a dual band one in the first instance.
The reason that there is nothing on google is probably because it is not possible.

Quick follow on question about the slaver router. Is it possible to change a router to include 5ghz by using some sort of adapter? IE, like a dongle on a pc? Google is rather barren over this question.
