not at all, all advice is welcome. I will give adjustments a shot and see how it goes! would be great to stop the squeak!
lucky to have a full service history on it which is handy! one owner from new that has seemed to love and care for it... rare these days.
That pick up is a beaut!

You're going to need imperial tools if you haven't already got some, where are you based if you want a hand?

@NurseHolliday Will be doing the work in Bethnal Green.
I do have a whole load of tools that should do the job but stuck with a broken wrist at the moment and so might have to delay the work a little while. Would give you a shout once i am up for doing it if thats cool?

Yeah no doubt, I'm only in Dalston so Bethnal Green is super easy to get to.

Asked what Trump could do to make sure German customers bought more American cars, Gabriel said: “Build better cars.”
PREACH!

Actual lol.

Gabriel's from BMW by the way. Apparently their biggest factory is already in America, where they make X models and export them back here. #trumpfail

Hate the colour
Agreed
the split rims
Standard on a Targa
the little handle/spoiler thing
Standard on a Targa
the way the C-pillar looks
Standard on a Targa
otherwise a nice reminder of how dinky and curvaceous 911s used to be
Except the Targas... :)

gear box is so blocky and having to double de-clutch at some points which makes it broken
FTFY.
Srsly - the gearbox should go in and out like any other modern car, it sounds like it needs looking at.

Linkage or box?
When was the oil changed?

Think what I really want is a coupe with the full panoramic sliding roof

A 1995 Rover Mini Sidewalk. nice we Limited (1000) edition version of the Mini Sprite.
Love the interior!
I have just bought another car I don't need or have any use for. And its pretty tired.
Champagne with oxblood interior of course. -

Hefty is right here, it might be that you're not used to the vagueness of the A-series gearbox but if you line it up right, it shouldn't need any sort of double de-clutch to get it in gear and it should be crunch free.
Get that service history back out and look at when the oil was last changed and what was used.
The gearbox and engine share the same oil so the Mini gear change is very susceptible to becoming tired when there's old oil in there, and it's true the other way round. Crunching gears and possibly creating swarf in the gearbox is not great for the oil galleries in the engine either.
It might be pricey but Millers 20W50 oil is worth it in these cars.

Is that a swirl mark under the rhs front light?

(sorry, but couldn't help it. no swirl marks)
Not trying to teach you to suck eggs if you already know this, but a belt can be new and have play if it was never tightened properly or if it hasn't been re-tightened after it's initial stretch.
If it's not frayed or cracked then I'd just tighten it up, have a leaf through the service history if you've got any and have a look when it was last replaced.
