  • Also, it's cold at the moment. My phone dies after a few minutes outside until it warms up. Apparently that's normal though and they won't do anything about it.

  • Cold as in actually cold or uk cold? I've been using my 6s in -18 and it's been working as normal. Sounds like I've been lucky with the battery I got?

  • Mine used to zonk in low single digits (but only ever once unlocked, never on the lock screen (so once I cottoned on I'd warm it up before unlocking it and use watch for notifications and labourious texting while it was cold)). It was fine down to -8 or so last week in Denmark.

  • Yeah, not even your version of cold. It shuts off in 5-6 c.
    I have to keep it in an inside coat pocket.

    Only happens during use. Physics dictate the battery can't deliver X amount of current at those temps and the metal body transfers heat a little too well.

    This is why plastic (android) is sometimes the right material.
