Just TO WARN people that this is not actually a genuine Geoff Roberts track frame. I'm not sure the seller was aware but I did email him to say.
I personally spoke to GR and he says he's 100% certain he did not make it mainly because of serial number, design, parts used and finish
So if you want to buy it for the name, DON'T :)!! Tomhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252712536537?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Yes - I saw that - looks nice but I did have my doubts - looks like a respray?
-
• #56354
Yeah it is indeed a respray and probably decals from the 90's he reckons. He picked the whole build apart though so I wouldn't buy it unless u want the parts and a generic track frame. I emailed the seller but he's not replied nor changed the listing..

That's not really right to sell rebadged frame like that without stating its not a GR. Hope no one buys it without a heads-up.

On the topic of warning people.. taken from ebay problems thread:
..This clown is back, 3rd time he's recycled images from this ancient ebay listing of mine, which sold back in summer. He seems pretty basic. Rude pr*ck, plus zero feedback. I wouldn't risk it..

Badly listed ratty moser frame with some extras attached. Low BiN price.

Looks like a vitus 979 just stickered up, frames not known for their durability
-
• #56364
Yeah. There's tonnes of 979s kicking about. Were they the Spesh Allez of their day?

I love the paint on this bike.

Damn, wish it was frameset only

fixed

You shouldn't really post your own sales in here dude. It's for things people have spotted and wish to share.
-
• #56369
It's specifically forbidden isn't it?

I'm trying to do this new thing where I'm not an arsehole on the internet, so I'm going easy.

Brick lane bike La Piovra. Size 58cm. Used but in excellent condition. Around £1100 in parts.
I'd say comfortable for someone 5ft11 - 6ft 3 depending on how you like to ride.
Very fast bike. Head turner due to the paint job. Not selling parts
Don't have a list of parts but happy to take pics if needed
You spent £1100 on parts and don't know what any of them are?
-
• #56372
Would love to see a parts list / cost break down. Jesus wept.
-
• #56373
Whenever someone tries to justify the price of a bike based on it's parts, it's nearly always BLB stuff.
-
• #56374
Parts list:
BLB
BLB
BLB
etc... £1000 not likely. You're trying to sell it at rrp, it's not going to happen sorry mate. Half that and you might have a chance. Also, whilst this is London fixed gear and single speed, people on here aren't really into that kind of fixed gear. Mostly proper track stuff but stick around and maybe learn something. -

Like don't shop at brick lane bikes.
I'd probably ride it if it was under 200 quid. Otherwise MEH
