I found these really informative but nothing can substitute someone showing you... a while back a bunch of LFGSS met in the Reeg pub and got shown the ropes by @LHL. Maybe it's time for a refresher...

I bought a whetstone at the weekend and successfully managed to make my sharpening-practice knife more blunt than it was already.
Could someone point me in the direction of a video which highlights a "correct" technique to use for sharpening double-bevelled kitchen knives using a whetstone? One which talks about how much pressure to apply, which direction to drag etc.
