Coolio, best of both two-wheeled worlds. Love that topbox too.

Heated grips and heated gloves meant my Saturday morning run in the fog/rain was toasty, except, still couldn't feel my feets.

I've always wondered (or rather just while it's been cold), why foot pegs aren't designed to sink heat from the engine and maintain a modest bit of warmth for your feet.

If someone wanted a cheap scooter to drive to a station what would you guys recommend?
Not far but probably some country lanes. Cost and reliability being #1 consideration.
I guess a 125cc made by Honda?

nice SX200 up above
First proper blat in a while on the Speedy on Saturday - such a good bike

The pcx is pretty good (for a scooter)
-

I miss read that as a PX125!
Looks decent.
What are those ones all the pizza boys use?
-
• #9035
I think that's the SH125 maybe? They tend to be a bit more expensive as most come with ABS now.
Depending on how you want to buy it, the pcx125 will be cheap as anything to buy new on a PCP or even a hire purchase. They're only ~£2,100 brand new.

Cheers - I think you're right.
I think they were more thinking of something around the £500 mark.
-
• #9037
Fair enough. Not sure what you'd get for that but if they're thinking about it for a daily commuter, an HP agreement will be 0% over 3 years at ~£45 a month.

Or faired bikes directing the heat.

Need to get a bulb for my scooter where around Holloway should I be looking new to the area. Thanks in advance.

The SH models have larger wheels (16") so the ride is more comfortable. You might be able to get an sh125 for £500, if it's scuffed up.

Does anyone use this app? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.calimoto.calimoto

any good?

Nah, sorry, we used the Tomtom Navi with its built in function to get a thrill (round trip)
-
• #9046
I rate the TomTom 4 or 5 of 5 stars. But it's a device not just software. Worth it for me and my partner. Phone can stay in the pocket, navi is done by a specialist gadget.

I recently got a Garmin (a 64S.) It's bloody complicated but I'm beginning to figure it out. They're quite clever little gadgets and the reception in the wilderness is FAR superior to the GPS on phones. Feels a lot more durable for strapping to bikes too.
Fuck knows how the Dakar / Baja boys read them when they're hooning along at 100mph though.

Tomtom Navi
Which model exactly? And how/where do you plan the routes?
-
• #9049
Amey, what are you actually trying to do? Might help o know.

Make a mapping app
Ok, I can see it's fairly thick steel but I'd be inclined to make the bracket with a 90° bend instead of a weld, just an engineering principle of having a weld take the stress of the bikes fulcrum and vibration. Do you reckon the forks will be OK with stress perpendicular to how they're designed? Should be fine but I get scared with carbon witchcraft...
Don't mean to be negative btw, it's an ingenious fit, I'd just put some support padded bracket under the topbox mount that 'takes the weight' (i know that's probably only 6kg of biek!)
