My mash is now back with drops, some fancy green cables, and some new wheels/tyres. First real test with tubeless today at Hillingdon but it feels so much nicer even just round the block on the road.

New Hylex levers would look nicer imho.
Chainguard is awesome though!

I do like how much better the levers look as a singlespeed one.
Methinks Shimano missed the boat in regard to making one of their shifter as a singlespeed one by just removing the shift from it (and prevent it moving sideway of course),

Shimano doesn't do 'trends' much

Those di2 levers are perfect as a single speed lever if you ask me.
Although hylex are a lot cheaper, in performance and ergonomics the di2 levers (+calipers) are so much better (IMHO). And they have no side movement.

• #3691
Pound for pounds the Hylex is the best value road brake levers money can buy.
Having said that, I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for that Di2 levers without the Di2.

agreed

What tyres are those?

• #3694
Dugast, look like the Small Bird tread to me.

• #3695
I dont like the ergonomics of the hylex as they are really long. They limit the bar options a bit too much.
-
• #3696
Oddly enough they felt as long as the Shimano RS685 (I changed them round once, realised I didn't need to fit a longer stem).
-
• #3697
Hydraulics tend to make levers really long, although the new DA9170 look a bit shorter..

• #3698
I pref the vertical style
my next bike will def have these. I got hydro 105 on my caad and mechanical sram on my cx. I really like the steep curve of hydraulic srams.
-
• #3699
This. They don't actually feel long. (I still can't explain why)

I've got two bikes setup with supposedly identical stack and reach measurements, one with Sram S500 levers and one with the TRP Hylex, and there's not much in them. Maybe you want to go 5-10mm shorter on the reach, at most.
Nice bike ! Really love it :)
Thx for the link
Do you remember the price for the drop outs and sliders ?
