Planet X scamming

  • My story starts at the end of November when Planet X once again had a sale with great prices. So I ordered everything that I wanted proceeded to checkout and payed for what I have picked. After that I should have received tracking but that's where the problem starts (screenshot 3) as you can see there is no tracking where it should be. Ok I thought and wrote to support about it and got a tracking number 5 days after I have ordered. According to this tracking my parcel was delivered on 30 of November but the person that should have received it didn't get it and no other parcel with this tracking was delivered. Garry, the guy I spoke in support, wasn't helpful at all and couldn't or didn't wan't to resolve this issue for an unknown reason. Maybe they didn't even ship it and he gave my some random tracking? I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he did.

    But this is where it gets interesting.

    I have placed another order (oh god why) with planet x again. But this time I have received my package. With 5 items out of 26 I have ordered and payed for (screenshot 2,5). Well this is strange I thought. And once again contacted their support guy Garry. He told me that they in fact posted my order in 2 parcels for some reason even though I have never asked for this. Again a minor inconvenience for me so I asked for the tracking for the second part of the order to which he told my this (screenshot 4). Asked to reship and they didn't. Which leads me to believe that I just got scammed for 200-300 pounds on both of my orders. PayPal doesn't want to do anything as expected.

    And after all today I decided to contact them once again and for the last time and the result just made laugh harder then I should have (screenshot 1).

    I am sick and tired of their customer service, their scamming scheme, their always unknown stock.
    If I could describe my experience with this store it would be "Ordering from planet x is like playing Russian roulette... With a full chamber". Never in your life time order from this web site you WILL be scammed out of you money. That's the only thing they can guarantee.

  • Not sure I understand, you placed an order at the end of November for a bunch of stuff, and got no tracking number and no delivery? And you didn't get your money back?

    And then despite this you ordered again which got split into two packages and one of them didn't turn up? And you haven't been refunded for that either?

  • you are correct.

    edit: there were no problems with refunds beforehand but it seems they don't care any more.

  • Tried them on Twitter and Facebook? From what I have seen them seem all matey matey on Facebook comments, so would love to see how they respond.

    I think you need to succinctly write down what has happened, with dates, order numbers and names of advisors spoken to to get your message across to them.

  • Yep, get your story straight and as succinct as possible. I've got no idea if you've been refunded anything yet based on the above.

    If they refunded your first order on the basis that you didn't receive the goods I can start to see why they would be reticent to refund another order the next month when you didn't receive the goods again. However I'd expect paypal would end up on your side if the tracking information from PX was shonky.

  • I did not get refunded on both of my orders and never received my first order and partially got the second.

    I will try to get this straight and as succinct but I mostly contacted them via chat and didn't save any logs.

  • Why aren't you on the phone with them constantly.. like.. right now? This should be easily sorted..

    Also, paypal always sides with the customer.. so.. something doesn't add up here or we are missing part of the story.

  • Customer services completely ignored me when I never got an order. Turns out Royal Mail lost it so not PXs fault but still absolutely awful service. In the end it was their Facebook guys who sorted it for me. Definitely try that way. But politely

  • upd: packages have arrived but planet x provided completely different tracking numbers
    They need to get their shit together ffs

  • Wait a sec, which packages have arrived now? The first order from November? Or the second part of the second order?

  • A profit of £109k on £18.3 million is pretty tiny. Although not as tiny as a profit of -£86 on £20 million, obviously.

  • Both of the packages were found on my forwarders warehouse but with tracking numbers that where no where near of those planet x gave me. Idk why did Garry (the guy I talked to in chat) didn't give me the correct tracking and didn't tell me that the second part of the second order was shipped. Note that I'm not trying to blow a scandal w/o trying to resolve with planet x first, I have been in contact with them for around a month and they were unable to resolve my issue to this date.

  • Ah so are you using a freight forwarder? If so, sounds like the issue is with the forwarder, not with px or royal mail. Royal mail would guarantee delivery to the delivery address (the forwarder). What happens after that is the responsibility of the forwarding company you used

  • So you received all your items, your only beef is that they didn't give you another refund(sounds like you've had a few off them in the past) just because they (very possibly) gave you the wrong tracking by mistake?

    No offence but you sound like a right chancer who's just spouting on here in the hope to gain support so you can fleece another refund.

    Have had plenty of dealings myself with px/onone and not one issue at all.

    Well again if everyone who wants money back on orders the have not received in your eyes are cancer I cant do anything about it.

  • If only technology existed that allowed transcontinental telephone calls. I guess we'll need to stick with the carrier pigeons till then.

    If they delivered the goods to your forwarders warehouse they did their job. They aren't under any obligation to give you an accurate tracking number.

  • And I'm not under any obligation to call them since my preferred communication method is text via chat or email. See the point?

  • Not really.
    Anyone with that much of an issue would have been on the phone to them straight away.
    Really don't see what px have done wrong here and you come across as a loon who spends their time bothering customer services!
