The reason that Liverpool had such a tough schedule is down to their requirement that all of their matches are be televised. While this gives them greater revenue, they must accept the scheduling that comes with it.

It begs belief that premier league clubs moan about a congested festive fixture list. Granted it is worse this year but its not anything new. The fixtures are released in the summer with plenty of time to get the squad sorted and registered etc.

playing football manager yesterday i had a couple of months post xmas with a game every three days
still won the league and the carling cup and got to the quarter finals of the champions leaguesuck it up
