Has anyone else tried the Galibier.cc Long sleeve base layer?
I'm 5' 11" and 72kg and so went for the small. I've obviously skipped a few arm-days at the gym as the forearms (and wrists especially) are quite loose. Will a 30c wash sort this out, or shall I just return? The material feels great BTW.

Doubtful even if your washing machine was running too hot you had shrunk and still loose arms.

start with a cool wash like that and gradually warm it up, wool will shrink

Spent all my money on child so had to get a Uniqlo Airism top to stick under the jersey, verdict, very very comfy, not sure what it's doing but it means I can open my jersey when it's hot without revealing my tatas

weirdly, asos (NOT assos) have got some merino polo shirts at the mo ridiculously called "muscle cut" but i wouldnt say the fit is particularly unusual. both long and short sleeve. quite long as well so good for covering down to your belt loops even when on the bike.
s/s are £20 at the moment.

Anyone know of any good deals on merino base layers at the mo?

Aldi ones are pretty good, either from their cycling or skiing offers. £15 and now come in beetlejuice stripes as well as black.

Cheers.
I'll have a look at both... altho as nice as Rapha is, I can't see when you'd use a v neck s/s (accept with a dress shirt and no tie).

Who makes merino t shirts with a pocket on the back - like Rapha used to make?
-
• #1170
Vulpine made something a bit like that.

It's a Henley and their merino shrinks horribly.

This - socks were lovely for their first wear

The merino socks are most lovely. I recommend you wash cold.
-

Only ever washed at 30 - all my Rapha merino has been fine at that temperature.

I'm only on about the longjohns, Aldi tops are all kinds of weird sizing.
Yeah its basically ski-ing or slobbing around indoors stuff for me. Too much for actual exertion. But nice quality
