  • Crab Butlers...

  • I'm going to the National Theatre on Friday.

    Where to eat first?

Either London Bridge/Southwark/Waterloo, or just across e.g. Covent Garden.

  • padella but you have to queue

  • We've been there a couple of times already (actually queued neither time) so I think I'd rather somewhere different.

Also been to that tapas place around the corner.

  • Looks good.

I also remembered José on Bermondsey Street, looks quite highly rated. Anyone been?

For £29 you get three hours of fondue fun on a chilly Thursday evening. If you wish to know more just message me.

If you are a friend and you feel inclined to do so, please share this about via FB, Insta or whatever.

  • Couldn't get fresh sage so had to use dried, everything else went according to plan... Made too much, the rest is disappearing very quickly... So good on a bit of bread with some parmesan, nom...

Picking the meat up on Christmas Eve... Not long now...

  • that slab of meat is huge!!! looking forward to pics !! this xmas is my last blow out as a carnivore gonna try to switch to a more veggie diet mainly for health reasons, its gonna be hard esp if chicken wings and pork belly is on the menu ! actually looking forward to all xmas food pics and styles, happy xmas all :)

  • Jose is fab, on a par with the original Barafina, similar size and gets very busy. If you can arrive about 2.30pm and graze then its a great way to spend an afternoon

  • That's the hope but I'm leaving it up to her a bit seeing as it's her birthday.

  • Soooooo... Our Christmas side roast porchetta is two feet long... 😂

  • Pics naow plz.

  • I'm in the middle of a 50 person queue waiting on the butchers to open. Need to get the brine started.

  • Will do, need to get it out in a couple hours to make sure the skin's nice and dry before it goes in the oven tonight... Gonna have to cut it in half to get it in there!

  • 5.5 kg turkey now brining. Will take it out in 12 hours and dry the skin in the fridge overnight.

My parents are over. I'm going to get my mother to teach me her giblet gravy secrets.

  • Giblet gravy? Seriously? I mean, come on, how am I NOT supposed to make a your mum joke now?

  • Here it is, just salted the skin, gonna let this dry off in the fridge a bit as well then chuck it in a very low oven overnight once it's back down to room temp...

I'll take one over for Xmas dinner and leave the other one here for personal use... 😉

    It's a monster...
