no was gonna get hydra, but costs of build kept going up and up and I ended up with the kinesis wheels which are solid for price. no wait for build either.

Missus bought me some of the mason x hunt wheels - look and feel very nice. Looking forward to getting them on

Put a Schwable marathon plus tyre on with ease on the Kinlin XR22T. the trick with tubeless rims is always fit tubeless rim tape. It makes life easier. Stopped getting complaints about tight tyres once I insisted that folk have this.

Have not been on for a few days. Built a few wheels with the surely hubs and never one had an issue. There is a surely fixed free hub in 135mm.
A miche hub could be converted to 135mm OLD so that is another option.

Thanks - i've been struggling to decide on the best way forward. The build with Surly hubs and xr22T is appealing, but the cost is almost what the whole bike cost new (Charge Plug 0).

The rear spacing means that there isn't really a budget option so I'm tempted to bite the bullet and go with the Surly hubs.

Next thing i need to decide is do i also take the opportunity to go tubeless...?

Giving the cost, you might as well sell the Plug for the Plug 1 that have 120mm spacing (cantis).

as long as you have tubeless tyres, tubeless tape installed, an appropriate valve and sealant. if so just do it

Having noted the reviews of the new tubeless Schwalbe One I may even try them out later in the year...

My Hunts needed another layer of tape before they'd seal. Worth getting a enough with that in mind if you're going to set them up yourself

I guess £499 is ok for 2mm ;)
