• A work colleague T-boned a nodder who just rode out into the bus lane from a side street without looking this morning on Camden Road.
Police seem to have left his bike locked somewhere random after telling him they would drop it here at UCL Hospital where we work. He's in A&E with a dislocated shoulder and facial lacerations and said the nodder was really fucked.

  • Me. Hooked by a woman not looking as crossing my lane to get petrol. Painful ride to hospital to get knee checked, maybe a few hours for xray.

Had to get police to attend, woman called her son and husband who started kicking off and threatening.

I was warned if I make an insurance claim that they will come knocking.

  • Hope you are ok. And you should report it. Any evidence/witness?

  • Initially they told me to get details and report to local plod within 24 hours, but they had to attend when the woman refused to provide details, followed by son arriving, followed by husband arriving and threatening.

Plod will provide me with ref number later, he told me to leave while he was still there, after confronting the husband for threatening me.

  • Good job, heal up :)

  • Thanks mate

  • I was warned if I make an insurance claim that they will come knocking.

Hmmm, wonder what it is they have got to hide?

  • Exact same happened to me a few years back (hook, petrol, refused details, called plod)

She didn't bother with the safety scheme and then subsequently missed the court date, = points and fine

  • cunts, now the police have been involved they would be fucking stupid to carry out their threats.

are you pushing for a prosecution for the father and son too?

  • @amey @middleofnowhere @dapthechap @dancing james

Went into the station to speak to the officer but he hadn't started yet (appears he's on lates). He gave me a call back, and pretty much assured me that the father/son had cooled down after I left. He added if they did anything they have it on record they'd threatened. So, basically forget it.

As for the accident itself, I'm in the process of finding what the lady actual driver's insurance details are, because when I called the insurance company name given (NIG) they say they have no record of a policy for that car reg. So, I've emailed the officer to confirm if I got a detail wrong.

For your viewing pleasure, here's my pretty lame bail. As a video it's even more lame, but bear in mind it happens over two/three seconds, one of which is me punching the car to try compensate for momentum, and falling.

The guy in the petrol station was conveniently distracted for a moment, while I recorded the cctv on my mobile.

  • Glad you're OK.

  • Lame is right. At least I did Starsky over the bonnet

  • Heavy bike n straps mate.

  • Looks to me like you hit her.

    HYCCT?

  • I also stacked it a few weeks ago. No hint that anything was slippery, the bike just slid out with no warning. A colleague then had the exact same thing happen the next evening.

This was by the Pret near Kings Cross, as you said it's weird that it seems to have happened to so many people.

  • She crossed a lane of traffic when lane wasn't clear, so of course I hit her, I couldn't stop in time. I tried to brake and swerve but still went into her. But whatever.

  • Have you considered sarcasm/banter/trolling training? ;)

  • son and husband

They sound inbred, hope everything will mend up ok.

  • Push the officer to seize the car for non-insurance.

  • Not realtime.

  • I like it captures you initially with motion blur, then with a comedic flail.

    How's the bruising?

  • I was thinking this morning if I had just a few feet more space I could have whip-skidded my way into a wall of fame gif. But no, lame fall. Still prefer that to head injury. Bruises are coming out well, aches appearing in back and elsewhere but got some codeine in the cupboard if I need it.

  • You've submitted a request for the actual CCTV yet? Get it quick! AND lawyer up! There's a forumer who's highly recommended but can't recall right now.
