For xc60, if you gave to have one get a petrol or the 2.4 5 cylinder diesel, all the Ford 1.6 and 2.0 are garbage. Jist been reading on one that imploded on itself and ate main bearings at 35/40k despite full and proper service schedule adhered to. Not a rare thing to happen to them.
Would look at the big mazda soft roader thing, again steer clear of ford derived diesels in them, stay petrol.
Crv newer shapes with any engine are apparently excellent. Pricey as hold their value, so poss that cheapest to actually own,?
