• A used Tiguan is small, the new one is the same as an XC60.

    The XC60 will feel fine, so long as you drive it in isolation, it just feels dated compared to newer models like the Tiguan and Nissans.

    It's definitely not sloppy enough to be an issue, it's perfectly good to steer for a big heavy car that focuses on comfort.

    If buying on paper the Volvo is defo the one.

    Just to check - you know an estate car or MPV a way better bet and the only reason to get a soft roader is because of style over substance, yes?

    Subaru Outback for the win. Drives great, loads of space, goes of road better than all the soft readers due to 'proper' 4 wheel drive. The only thing that will slow you down is big rocks and lack of ground clearance.

  • I wanted a Legacy or 5 series estate. Overruled by Mrs Hefty because apparently the fact that it's her car means she gets to choose.
