Anybody want a cheap Mountain King II 2.4" Black Chilli? Used for a few months, but loads of life left.

Are you only looking to sell the frame, forks, headset, stem, or the full bike?
-
• #5055
Ah, have just caught up and saw you've recycled the other parts. Never mind, nice bike!

I bought a Stanton Sherpa frame in the Summer with the intention of getting it rolling for Winter but the lack of time and disposable income curtailed my efforts. Superstar components are doing some clearance wheels and I was looking at the Fuel 60POE Tactic Probuild.
One query I had was on the hub adaptors and QR v Through Axle. As I am still to buy the front fork I assuming the Through Axle will be the best option but can all mountain bike rear drop outs take a through axle?
I have QR's and rim brakes on my road bikes so disc brakes and through axles are new to me.

Also, anyone interested in a pair of skinwall Ardents? 29x2.4", £20 posted. Folding bead, can be run tubeless, but the sidewalls are a bit weepy, loads of life left.

Joining in the tyre spam - someone please take this Hans Dampf off me. 2.35, evo, snakeskin, pacestar. Might still have a few moulding hairs... £10 posted!
It's been over a year since I've had a 29er and I'd like to avoid it going to landfill (alternative recycling suggestions welcomed...)

For the front, thru axle is probably your best bet, as lots of the better quality/performing forks will only come in that option.
Thru axle is fairly ubiquitous now in full suss frames, but less so on hardtails. Stanton do various swap-out options on their newer frames. Depends what model you have really.
Nowt to stop you running QR at the back and thru axle at the front. Plus, you can always change the hub end caps later on if you need to.

agreed. I have just converted my rear superstar hub to QR15. very easy and best of both worlds
