Brilliant. Thanks for that. Do you happen to know if specsavers are happy to hand out my PD measurement? I've been reading online that they are not keen on doing so.

I'm in Canada and so am not aware of Specsavers approach, but most Ophthalmologists/Optometrists are not keen to give out that measurement because of web reasons.
You can measure your own, but make multiple stabs at it and get an anal friend to corroborate your results.
